Programmatic reads (API and MCP) are $1 per read over x402, with 10 free reads a month per credentialed identity; volume terms are agreed per contract. The key never changes an answer.

Charter: Payment never touches the record. Receipts are free and public. Nothing on the record is for sale: no placement, no leads, no field on any receipt.

Commercial terms

Published agent read terms. A programmatic read is $1, paid over x402, and only a read that answers 2xx is billable. Each credentialed identity (an OAuth login, an API key or an x402 payer) gets 10 free reads a month. This form requests a trial key: it creates no paid subscription and no automatic paid conversion. Agent reads

Per read, over x402

Each receipt read over the API or MCP. 10 free reads a month per credentialed identity; past them, or with no credential, a read answers HTTP 402 with an x402 payment request.

Request a trial key

Trial keys are issued after coverage and integration review. We confirm access by email. Send an issued key as X-Lodestar-Key on each read; it carries 10 free reads a month. Submitting this request creates no paid subscription.

How a keyed read works

  1. GET the same endpoints as before and add X-Lodestar-Key: <key>.
  2. The receipt is byte for byte the receipt any other read gets: a key never changes an answer. The response carries X-Lodestar-Tier for usage classification. This header is not an invoice or proof that a charge occurred.
  3. Your first 10 reads each month are free. Past them, a read answers HTTP 402 with an x402 payment request; a paid read is served only once its settlement is confirmed, and a served read is final. The public record stays independent of payment.
