Lodestar Stamp publishes dated checks of public sources. People and software can read them. We do not approve bookings. Payment never touches the record.
The service
Lodestar Stamp publishes dated receipts drawn from public sources on named businesses. The Trust API and MCP tools let callers look up those receipts. We publish what the registers showed on the date shown; we do not approve, recommend, or guarantee any booking, call, or payment.
What is not for sale
Nothing on the receipt is for sale. We do not sell placement on the record or changes to what the receipt says. Paying for an agent read buys that read, never the record. Payment for Watching or other paid products never changes the public record.
Watching subscriptions
Online checkout sells Watching for one selected business at $149 USD per month; it renews automatically until canceled. New Watching subscriptions include a 30-day free trial; the card on file is charged $149 on day 31 unless canceled. Two or more locations, or annual billing, are sold by written contract that lists every location, at the location pricing published at https://lodestarstamp.com/watch.html#pricing (per location per month: 1 location $149; 2–5 $134; 6–12 $119; 13–20 $104; 21 or more $89; annual billing charges 10 months for 12). Contracts also renew automatically until canceled. It includes a baseline briefing, published-change alerts, a weekly digest and a monthly readout for that business. The alert job checks the Lodestar published feed every 30 minutes; source publication and verification can take longer. This does not guarantee real-time updates from city systems, bookings, visibility, licensing compliance or safety.
Refunds and cancellation
Request a full refund of your first payment within 14 calendar days by emailing watch@lodestarstamp.com. This applies to monthly and annual billing and to contracts. After those 14 days, an annual payment is not refunded pro rata. A location added to a contract during a paid period is prorated immediately. Cancel future renewals by emailing the same address. The time we receive your request determines whether it precedes the renewal; we refund a renewal caused by a delay in processing a timely cancellation. Access continues through the paid period unless you ask us to stop emails earlier. The full policy is at https://lodestarstamp.com/refunds.html. Refunds and cancellation never alter public receipts.
Agent reads (API and MCP)
Programmatic reads (API and MCP) cost $1.00 per read, paid over x402. The payment assets we accept are named in each HTTP 402 response. A read is billable only when it returns a 2xx response. Each credentialed identity (an OAuth login, an API key, or an x402 payer) gets 10 free reads per calendar month; a read with none of these gets no free reads. A Watching owner, and the agents the owner authorizes, read the owner's own watched locations free, including during a trial. If we cannot confirm that a payment settled, the read is not served. Served reads are final. Report billing errors to watch@lodestarstamp.com. Payment never changes the record.
Meaning of verification
Verified means we checked the cited source on the stated date. It does not guarantee the source is accurate or current today. A recheck date is the expiry of our verification, not necessarily a license expiration date. Missing, unpublished and expired information is not evidence of wrongdoing. Anyone may submit a correction without paying, under the same evidence and review rules.
Acceptable use
Public receipts and docs are meant to be read. Do not use automated access to scrape, extract, or load the service in ways that harm availability or other users. Respect rate limits and robots guidance.

Text messages (SMS)
We text only numbers that gave consent. A person who asks during a call to have a link texted gets that one text only. Recurring texts require the checkbox consent on our signup or checkout. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, which ends all texts. Reply HELP for help or write watch@lodestarstamp.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We don't sell or share phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties for their marketing.
